Perfect spot to grab a coffee before catching the ferry or coming off of it into the city. It can get busy but goes by quickly. I asked what the most popular latte was and I think it was the sweet latte? I got my boss a coffee too and asked what was most similar to an americano. I can't remember the exact names of the drinks I got. But I always enjoy my blue bottle coffee and the taste of it. The servers were super helpful and quick!

Their "NOLA" coffee was a big meh. I had one this morning. Watery and an unpleasant aftertaste. Not sure if this was by design or if the barista was off. And I added a tip to the total and didn't even get acknowledgement from the cashier - this place is overrated and I won't be returning. (But get a delicious empanada at El Porteno a few shops down the hallway) Addendum: I received a message from Fern of Blue Bottle, apologizing for my experience and acknowledging they strive to do better. This was heartening to know they care - unlike other places that don't reply or post even when there are many negative reviews. Thanks, Fern!

Great place to come for a cup of Joe. Each cup is drip made to order. We got our cup and wandered around the ferry building looking at all the other businesses. Designs with the cream is awesome. Hate to drink it cause it ruins the cream design.

Adorable coffee stand inside the Ferry Building Marketplace. Cute merch. I asked the cashier: What's good here?" And he looked me dead in the eyes and said, "Everything." Well, now with that kind of confidence, I asked for his recommendation, and he offered up the New Orleans. I liked it! I'd get it again. I just had to add some raw sugar that they provide on the side counter. The coffee is quality. Smooth, rich, deep. Sip after sip, you don't want the drip to end. I got mine iced and ooohhh weee. You thought Starbucks had perfect ice? Blue Bottle ice is perfectly cubed with a hollow in the middle. Yes, I screeched out loud at that initial realization. If you get your drink hot, you get a cute design on top. I'm from SoCal and will say the coffee in SF is on another esteemed level.

Can't believe I've lived near Blue Bottle for ages and never got around to reviewing it. Everyone comes here for the coffee, but it's actually the desserts that get my attention. Very tasty baked goods selection! And I love the outdoor kiosk since the lines are usually much shorter than inside. New Orleans-Style Iced Coffee: This is somewhere between a regular ice coffee and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Sweeter and creamier than regular, but not as sweet as Vietnamese. A great way to start the day. I like that they put it in a regular coffee cup though, so people don't know you're drinking iced coffee on a chilly morning. Chocolate-Caramel Chunk Cookie: Gooey cookie, even when at room temperature. Loved all the caramel bits in it. Though it seemed they went a little overboard with the salt. Brown Butter Blondie: Very dense. Very buttery. It's almost like they took one of those rich Scottish shortbread cookies and turned it into a blondie. Definitely a fan! Lemon-Almond Tea Cake: Kinda tastes like a Starbucks pastry. It's not bad or anything. Just fluffy and subtly flavored with some spices and few nuts on top. Unlike the other pastries here, not particularly memorable.
